Our goal is to help you understand Laser Vision Correction - and make the process both convenient and cost-effective.
1.
FREE SCREENING CONSULTATION. This initial visit helps you determine whether you may be a candidate for Laser Vision Correction. You meet with our Laser Vision Coordinator, who answers your general questions about LVC, as well as specific questions you may have about our surgeons, our laser and staff, the procedures and postoperative care, costs and financing plans, and any other concerns. Family members and/or friends are encouraged to attend.
2. REFRACTIVE WORKUP. This comprehensive, dilated
examination by one of our refractive ophthalmologists
includes precise measures to target your desired vision
correction, as well as several tests to ensure the health
of your eyes and to optimize preparations for your treatment.
It also includes an informed consent process that will
address specific questions you may have about your upcoming
surgery. The cost of this exam is included in your LVC
package.
Please
be aware that your eyes must be free of soft contact
lenses for 2 weeks prior to the exam. If you wear soft
toric, hard, or rigid gas permeable contact lenses,
please discontinue them at least 3 weeks prior to the
exam.
3. VISION CORRECTION. Assuming you have met all
criteria, we can schedule your vision correction treatment
right after your refractive workup. Currently, all treatments
are scheduled on selected Monday mornings. You will
need a driver for the day of treatment.
